DLR Beckton Depot Traction Substation Renewal

The Beckton depot substation upgrade is required to support proposed changes to the DLR train fleet. The existing B2007 trains will be retained and the older B92 trains will be replaced by new trains of 88 m long fixed formation. Overall, there will be an increase in the number of trains in the DLR fleet.

Permarail has been engaged by UKPNS to provide EMC services throughout the design, build and commissioning phases of the project.

These services include:

  • Baseline and post-commissioning EMF and RFI measurements.

  • The production and management of an EMC Hazard Log.

  • The production of an EMC Control Plan.

  • The compilation of the EMC Technical File for handback to the client.
