Great Western Route Modernisation Programme
The Great Western Route Modernisation Programme included the electrification of the route between London Paddington and Cardiff. The ABB/UKPNS consortium was awarded the contract the deliver 27 new autotransformer substations between Maidenhead and Cardiff.
